The Company works both globally and regionally for a range of clients operating in the tech/telecoms/internet sectors. Their work spans corporate/business/consumer in equal measures.

In addition to their core media relations services, they also offer thought-leadership, corporate reputation management and protection, product launches, analyst relations, and a conference-speaking placement service.
Their culture is very results-oriented and flat. Everyone in the agency is expected to do media relations and handle some basic administrative tasks such as reporting. Conversely members of staff at all levels have opportunities to participate in new business presentations and take responsibility at an early stage in their careers.
The Role
- Our client is looking for an ambitious Consumer Tech Account Director to join them in the running of several existing accounts and lead pitches for some new ones.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for management and development of three/four accounts including; strategic input, client relationship management, thought-leadership, high level media and influencer relations and pro-active planning and activity and financial budget management and reporting
- Management of both client contacts and agency teams (up to 4 people per team)
- Participation in development and presentation of new business pitches and new business programmes
Key attributes:
- Team-player (without ego!) who is willing to get his or her hands dirty
- Hunger for success and commensurate rewards
- Results-oriented approach to PR
- Ability to run creative, result-oriented PR programmes for consumer brand
- Experience of managing programmes and budgets is beneficial
- Ability to get brands into the national and consumer lifestyle press on a regular basis
- Ability to perform under pressure and juggle accounts
- Ability to counsel senior client management
- Ability to think and write strategically and tactically
Key experience:
- Experience of working with big brands
- In-depth corporate/B2B/tech/consumer tech PR experience - consumer tech would be particularly useful
- Experience of running campaigns aimed at specific vertical and horizontal sectors would be particularly useful
- Knowledge and experience of major global brands is beneficial
- Understanding of technology from enterprise and business user perspective is beneficial
