3D Structural Packaging Designer, Corrugated – Northants
Innovative specialists in protective Industrial and Retail Corrugated Packaging, seek a multifaceted Structural Packaging Designer with ArtiosCAD experience to work within their Design, Development and Client Services team.
In a role whose primary responsibility is to design creative, functional and cost effective packaging solutions aligned to existing or improved customer specification (currently using ArtiosCAD software), you must have the acquired experience and intellect to offer innovative alternatives to current pack designs.
Beyond your creative and structural design focus, the role will also require you to liaise with the Production team to ensure you can optimise your designs alongside the production capability, creating specifications to produce the initial commercial calculations, liaising closely with the Client Services department, using your acquired awareness of substrate and manufacturing routing.
You will be actively involved in all front end Client interaction, working closely with the Key Account Managers / Product Development Co-ordinators in ensuring the newly designed items are ordered as the customer requires and that they are routed through the factory in the most cost effective and production efficient manner (including design sampling and artwork approval, cutting forme and print stereo ordering)
It’s imperative that you have practical skills too, as you’ll be producing sample boxes and fittings for customers on the ZUND sample table.
