As more people suffer, we’ve seen a surge in global kindness and people taking proactive steps to generate positive solutions for many of the less fortunate or able around us…

Beyond the benefits of kindness between people, Psychology research shows that shared adversity often brings out the best in us, motivating us to be adaptable and creative. When we suffer we are motivated to help others who also suffer.

Here in the Print & Packaging Industry, we can be incredibly proud of our contributions to these ‘acts of kindness’, with many Companies rapidly stepping in to provide essential communications, whether it’s Direct Mail providing clear & accurate information about the pandemic, Small & Large format Printers providing large volumes of material to assist the Retail & Healthcare environments in controlling people flow & clear guidance, the many Packaging / Labelling companies operating under intense pressure to provide the necessary materials to keep goods & freight movement flowing, the Event/Signage companies that have diverted their workforces so effectively into creating the Nightingale Hospitals & equivalents around the country & of lastly course, the many Companies in our sector that have diverted swathes of their manufacturing capabilities into designing/producing large volumes of the essential PPE equipment that our front line & NHS workers require to help us through these incredibly difficult times……so without being controversial, I suggest we all pause to give ourselves a big clap for the truly essential contributions that we’ve made to the Country’s ability to survive & thrive….
